“ This time Anggi is going to school for competition

The word competition comes from the base form of compete .

“ –tition “ is a suffix to form a noun.

The following are the suffixes to form nouns. They are :

For example :

1. this year Noval is going to Jakarta on competition. He is become a competitor for compete Music festival. He want to be competitive in playing music. He hope, he can play music competitively.

2. Zahra is one of all finalist of Indonesian Idol. This evening, she finalize thet music festival. In the final, she can perform well. Finally, she become a winner of Indonesian Idol.

3. Senior High School 2 Neverland production, produce a new movie. This movie called “ My Own Song “ . This time Anggi van Narcist become the producer. Her company work productively. Because, she and her company always productive.





IMPERATIVE

~ Close the door ~ Be Queue

~ Be On Time ~ Open The Window

An imperative sentences has an understood subject (you), and the verb ( Close ) is the simple form. So Close The Door = you ( as the subject ) close the door.

There are teo easy expressing imperative (command)

^ Positive Command ( infinitive + object )

~ Close the door

~ Keep your rom Clean

~ e.t.c

^ Negative Command ( do not +infinitive + object )

~ Don’t call me

~ Don’t throw the rubbish here

~ Don’t smooking

^ Subject + may not infinitive + object

~ You may not cyling there

~ You may not eat much food

~ You may not drink too much coffee

^ Subject + must not + infinitive + object

~ You must not let your room dirty

~ You must not eat many heavy food

~ You must not open the pornographic website

For example :

- Let’s go by car. It’s cheaper than go by train.

  1. After comparative we use than .

- It’s cheaper to go by car than go by train

  1. We use more-.. (not –er ) for other two-syllable adjectives and longer adjectives.

  1. Sometimes you can use two comparative together.

- harder and harder

- more and more

- more and more expensive

  1. You can also use as…..as in positive sentences and in questions.

- I’m sorry I’m late. I got here as fast as I could

- There’s plenty of food, so eat as much as you like

  1. Superlatives * the longest, the most interesting, the most enjoyable.



Question tag is a sentences that contain of two sentences. The first sentence is the statement, and the second sentence is the query .

For example :

- Dinda leaves the office at 4.pm , doesn’t she ?

- We are in Jogja, aren’t we ?

- E.t.c



Question tags : auxiliary verbs.

For example :

- They’ve already booked their book, haven’t they ?

- We can’t go out without Noval, can we ?
